Animal Services

The new animal services building will replace the current shelter on Butti Way, which was built in the 60's and deserves to retire. The proposed building will be approximately 10,955 square feet and will be on Airport Road. It will accommodate 134 dogs, 104 cats, seven exotics, and will have two corrals for large animals. With the new facility, there will be adoption, play areas and a spay/neuter clinic. The Nevada Humane Society will be managing the facility. The Nevada Humane Society successfully provides a no-kill community and proudly maintains effective programs to rehabilitate and enhance the quality of life for all animals.
